RN School Contract

In this role, you will focus on conducting hearing and vision screeners as part of IEP testing while also playing a key part in consulting and training staff to effectively care for students with a variety of health needs, including allergies, feeding tubes, and seizure management. With a caseload of 78 students on IEPs, your expertise and guidance will directly support students' success and well-being.

Qualifications/Experience Sought:

  • Active Certified School Nurse License for California
  • PPS Credential required
  • Experience in a school-based nursing setting, particularly supporting students with IEPs, is highly valued
  • Comfortable performing hearing and vision screenings
  • Skill in staff instruction and consultation for specialized student health needs

Daily Duties Will Include:

  • Administering IEP-specific hearing and vision screenings
  • Providing essential training to staff on managing health conditions such as allergies, feeding tube care, and seizures
  • Coordinating and delivering comprehensive health services for all students on IEPs
  • Serving as a knowledgeable resource for school administration, faculty, and families
