LPN - School in Spanaway, WA

Embark on a meaningful contract position supporting a K-12 student as a 1:1 LPN for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week), based at a single school in the Spanaway, WA area, is dedicated to providing essential care for a student with complex needs, including seizures, thermodysregulation, and a high activity level. The ideal applicant would be an LPN who can confidently assist with both on-site support and transportation, and a male caregiver is preferred to best support the students needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license for Washington State required
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Proficient in seizure management and care planning for medical needs
  • Must be able to provide compassionate, attentive care in a 1:1 environment
  • Comfortable providing physical assistance and adapting to high-activity scenarios
  • Capable of supporting student needs on transportation, including bus rides
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver vigilant 1:1 medical care and monitoring for the assigned student
  • Administer medications, monitor for seizure activity, and implement care protocols
  • Document health events accurately and promptly
  • Communicate proactively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers
  • Adapt support to changing needs or activity levels throughout the school day
  • Ensure student safety and comfort during school and transportation hours
