Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility in order to provide the highest quality of care to the residents.

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-       Function as Staff Educator: Ensure all staff meets all required in-service education and documentation requirements

-       Staff Development

-       Participates the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Programs in the facility

-       Leads the orientation program in the facility

-       Involve in the Compliance Committee

-       Acts as a Director of Nursing in her behalf during her absence

-       Directs and supervises staff to ensure quality care is administered


Qualifications:

  • Must have a current and valid RN License issued by the State of New Jersey
  • Must have a current and valid CPR/BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility or hospital
  • Bachelor of Nursing is preferred
  • IV Certification is preferred
