Job Summary:

Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 200-bed skilled nursing facility located in Cortland, New York, is seeking a reliable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as an Evening Supervisor on our Mon.-Friday 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift. As an experienced nurse leader, you will provide clinical oversight, supervision, and support to our nursing staff while ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and supervisory oversight for the 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift

  • Support nurses and CNAs with resident care needs, change-in-condition concerns, and clinical decision-making

  • Ensure timely physician/provider notification, family communication, and appropriate documentation

  • Monitor resident care, safety, infection control practices, and regulatory compliance

  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and acute changes in condition

  • Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and positive communication among staff

  • Ensure assignments are completed and resident needs are met throughout the shift

  • Provide coaching, education, and support to nursing staff

  • Communicate shift concerns, staffing needs, and clinical issues to nursing

    leadership

What We Are Looking For:

  • A confident and compassionate RN leader who can balance clinical oversight with staff support

  • Prior long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred

  • Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

  • Ability to lead staff in a professional, respectful, and supportive manner

  • Knowledge of infection control, documentation standards, resident rights, and change-in-condition processes

  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment

OVERVIEW: Assist the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department. Maintains quality clinical care for residents/patients in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.
