Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Current RN or LVN license valid in California
Previous experience in school health services, pediatrics, or a related nursing field
Ability to perform vision, hearing, and health screenings
Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and educators
Competence in developing and updating care plans for students with chronic conditions or acute health needs
CPR and First Aid certification required
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities:

Provide preventive and acute health care to students and staff throughout the school day
Manage medication administration following physician orders and school policies
Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first-line intervention for injuries or illnesses
Maintain accurate health records, immunization documentation, and reportable conditions
Serve as a health resource for staff and students, advising on best practices and safety measures
Liaise with parents, teachers, and community healthcare providers to support student wellness
Participate in school health education and outreach as needed
