Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at West Haven Healthcare in West Covina, California. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at West Haven Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. You will be responsible for administering nursing care, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and supervising nursing staff. Responsibilities
Administers nursing care as indicated by the nursing care plan and in compliance with all Regulatory Agencies
Demonstrates ability to provide appropriate and quality nursing care to residents, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
Documents resident care and reports pertinent clinical observations and reactions to the appropriate individual
Participates in interdisciplinary team conferences and relays treatment plan decisions to the other members of the nursing team
Reports all abnormal test results to physician in a timely manner; triages activities based on borderline and/or abnormal and/or unusual findings
Assists with resident re-assessments during each shift and when the resident condition changes
Maintains a current, accurate listing of all resident medications and transcribes, administers, and documents medications according to policy and procedure
Participates in performance improvement activities and serves as a resource for staff on various topics related to resident care
Requirements
Minimum of H.S. degree or equivalent
Long-Term care experience preferably in a skilled nursing setting
Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of California
Must be certified in CPR
IV certification
Must maintain current licensure in good standing during employment with this facility in accordance to the State Board

Work primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and carrying/lifting potentially up to 40 lbs. or more occasionally, up to 25 lbs. or more frequently, and up to 10 lbs. or more regularly.
