School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Union City, California

In this part-time, itinerant assignment, youll serve as a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse, working closely with several students across different campuses and playing a vital part in their everyday educational experience.

In this position, you will:

  • Oversee and review individual seizure and health management plans
  • Train staff on essential life-saving and daily medical procedures
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure continuity of care and strong communication
  • Remain available for urgent health needs and provide on-the-spot care as needed
  • Deliver direct care for students with varied medical and developmental needs

Desired skills and experience:

  • Current RN licensure
  • Experience supporting children and young adults ages 4-22 with complex medical needs, including diabetes management (insulin/CGM/carb counting), ASD and developmental delays, administration of medication (e.g., epi pens, Benadryl), gastrostomy care, and bladder cauterization
  • Ability to work independently while traveling between campuses
  • Comfort in an itinerant nurse role, adapting to different environments and teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Spanish fluency is a plus but not required
  • Availability to begin as soon as next week (6/2) is highly desirable
