PRN Shifts Available

The LPN or RN will provide direct nursing care to the residents and will perform the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as directed by the Director of Nursing Services, Assistant Director of Nursing Services and Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.

  • Must speak and understand English. - Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.

Job Requirements POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN provides outstanding, direct patient care under the supervision of an Registered Nurse (RN) with respect to patient expectations, cultural, spiritual and age-specific individual needs. Clinic LPN Perform clinical intake by taking medical histories and vital signs, recording weight/height and verification of patient’s current prescriptions. Prepare patients for examination and explain treatment procedures to patients. Prepare and perform point of care testing and/or specimen collection as directed by provider. Prepare and administer medications. Then documents validation of medication safety rights. Validates with ordering provider, any medication orders that are controlled high risk, or when there are questions on the medications ordered prior to administering. Enters orders into computer/electronic medical record for provider signature. Track and communicate to patients, the results of labs and diagnostic studies as directed by the provider. Call pharmacies for ordering prescriptions. Apply proper infection prevention techniques to all self-care and patient procedures. Clean exam rooms and equipment and ensure that supply inventories are maintained at par levels. Provide customer follow up and education (at the time of visit and/or via phone) to ensure customer’s participation in their care showing respect for their needs.
