Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Education: BSN
  • Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
  • Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency

Shift Monday - Friday, Days Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 POSITION PURPOSE : Following the guidelines of the Illinois Nursing Act, provides professional nursing care for office patients. As a licensed/certified professional, assumes responsibility for the care of individuals and groups through a collegial relationship with a physician or clinician. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Collects patient health data for physician, enters into the EMR. Analyzes the assessment data in determining nursing diagnoses. Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care. Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes. Responsible for assessment, monitoring of intravenous (IV) access. Responsible for administration and monitoring of medication infusions and high-risk medications including but not limited to: pre-medications, chemotherapy, and antibiotics. Responsible for ensuring the safety of equipment utilized for completion of procedures and reporting any maintenance issues to Biomed including but not limited to: IV pumps, suction machine, crash cart/defibrillator. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS: Current Illinois Nurse Licensure required. Acquire and maintain certification from an established educational program as required per department. Previous Medical Office experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of medical equipment and instruments helpful. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding is helpful. BLS required within 30 days and maintained throughout employment Demonstrates knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients served in the physician office.
