TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT PROVIDED- on a weekly basis for those who live 30 miles away or more.

Position Description:

A Wound Care Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in a skilled rehab nursing home by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of wound care for residents. This position requires a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual who can provide comprehensive wound assessment, treatment, and education to promote optimal wound healing and resident well-being. A Wound Care Registered Nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement effective wound care plans. Additionally, a Wound Care nurse stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in wound care management and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the Wound Care Measures
Must have up-to-date MMR vaccination & physical
Responsible for overseeing the infection control program
Communicate changes in residents' conditions to IDT and other partners as appropriate
Participate in the on-call rotation with other nursing supervisors
Flexible working hours
Attend Quality Measures meeting and report on applicable information
Attend and prepare for weekly Case Management meetings
Includes but not limited to items listed on the Registered Nurse Job Description
Ability to educate partners by conducting in-services and one on one learning
Ability to investigate, track and trend identified areas of opportunities
Develop action plans for areas of needed improvement
Provide partner support and coaching
Passion for wound care and healing residents
Passion for infection control measures

Registered Nurse Requirements:

A current NYS Registered Nurse license required
Excellent physical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
