Shift Differential : We are paying an additional $3.224 shift differential for working on evening or night shifts Responsibilities: · Delivers nursing care in structured & routine situations. · Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned. · Prepares for and assists Nurses and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments. · Reinforces, supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families. · Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities. · Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. · Observes and reports patients’ vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individuals(s). · Records on patient charts observation of patients responses to nursing care rendered. · Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients. · Assists with unit management and/or assumes charge of unit as assigned. · Performs other nursing functions related to patient care and nursing service, as delegated by the Nursing Service Administration. · Guides and directs other technicians and nurse’s aides in rendering patient care. · Maintains clinical competence through participation and attendance at continuing education programs assistance with activities of daily living. The RN Supervisors will oversee the day-to-day clinical activities of health care personnel, such as LPNs and CNAs. The RN Supervisor must be able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions, as well as administer medication, wound care and other personalized interventions . Job Duties / Responsibilities: Completes admissions assessments and reassessment on all patients. Responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, housekeeping, and security. Works closely with medical support staff to ensure resident needs are met. Participate in weekly and on an “as needed basis” case conferencing sessions with interdisciplinary team members to discuss resident issues/concerns. Ensure that personnel adhere to established policies and procedures. Document changes in resident's conditions. Participate in care planning meetings. Mentoring and supervision of LPN's and CNA's. Requirements: Current NYS Registered Nurse license. 3 Years RN experience preferred. Current BLS Certificate.
