School Registered Nurse (RN) in Plainfield, IL

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Illinois
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to student health needs and emergencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care for illness, injury, and chronic health management to middle school students (grades 46)
  • Maintain health records and manage medication administration according to school policies
  • Implement individualized health plans and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families
  • Conduct health screenings and promote wellness through age-appropriate health education
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide guidance on communicable disease prevention
  • Support the physical and emotional well-being of the student population
