Join a compassionate and collaborative nursing team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast paced acute care environment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult medical, general surgery, and oncology patients on Wheeler 5.

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. This role works closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes and provide patient centered care to individuals and families throughout their hospitalization.

Job Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing care to adult medical, surgical, and oncology patients

Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards

Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team

Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards

Deliver compassionate, age appropriate care while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality

Respond effectively in high acuity and fast paced clinical situations using sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program required

Licensure and Certification

Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required

Experience

Previous experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic, or Oncology nursing preferred

Skills And Qualifications

Acute care hospital experience strongly preferred

Strong patient assessment and clinical nursing skills
