Responsibilities
Schedule:MOMMC is a 24-hour 7-day a week, inpatient treatment facility.
Shift Structure: Daily shifts will begin at 0630 and will be assigned as 8, 10, or 12-hour durations to meet variable surgical and patient care demands. All shifts include a minimum of a 30-minute uncompensated lunch break.
Schedule Management: The specific shift assignment is determined by the Government supervisor.
Job Specific Details and Tasks:
- Independently (without physician supervision) manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional, general and neuraxial anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations as privileged by the MTF Credentials Committee.

- Perform an assessment immediately prior to induction of anesthesia of the patient. This shall include a review of the medical record with regard to completeness, pertinent laboratory data, time of administration and dosage of pre-anesthesia medication, together with an appraisal of any changes in the patient's condition from that noted on previous visits. This note shall include any previous anesthetic experiences and complications thereof noted in the medical record.
- Maintain the patient's physiologic homeostasis and corrects abnormal responses to the anesthesia and/or surgery.
- Collect and interpret patient physiological data by selecting, applying or inserting noninvasive monitoring modalities.
- Manage the patient's airway and pulmonary
- Manage the patient's emergence and recovery from anesthesia by maintaining homeostasis, providing relief from pain and anesthesia side effects and preventing and managing complications through selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administrating medications, fluids or ventilator support.
- Record all pertinent events taking place during the introduction of, maintenance of and emergence from anesthesia, including the dosage and duration of all anesthetic agents, other drugs, intravenous fluids and blood or blood components on all patients that have received anesthesia care.
- Record post-anesthetic visits, including at least one note describing the presence or absence of anesthesia related complications of the procedure.
- PATIENT All licensed health care providers shall provide patients with the utmost care and attention. All patients shall be assured of their privacy and personal dignity.
- Contractor personnel shall present a professional, conservative, and neat appearance. Contractor personnel shall report for duty in a professional manner, in appropriate attire befitting a health care setting, and having complied with socially acceptable standards of personal hygiene expected of health care workers.
- The Contractor will arrive to the start of the duty day earlier enough to prepare for the 1st case start to be on time (ex. in the OR room at 0730); and be flexible to be relieved or complete with the duty day within 15 mins before or after 1500 (or 1700 if on a 4-day /10-hour shift schedule).
- The Contractor shall ensure that all contract employees participate in the MTF orientation procedures for newly assigned medical employees to include regulations specific to their professional specialty, hospital and MTF policy and procedures. Contract employee training will include any in-processing and out processing, MHS Genesis, Joint Legacy Viewer, or job specific data training as required by the 99th Medical Group.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:* Education: Masters or Doctorate degree in nursing. Graduate from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA).* Experience:As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the CRNA/Anesthesia-specific credentialing instructions, minimum 2 years of active practice as a CRNA, current within the last 6 months of application; practice must have included cases specifically in General Anesthesia and Obstetric (Neuraxial) Anesthesia.
*Board Certification: (see base contract PWS 1.5.45.3.): Requirements for board certification are as follows: Current Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the National Board for Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), AND a current state (any state in the U.S.) Registered Nursing (RN) License and CRNA License.
* Licensure: Possess current unrestricted RN License from any state.* Life Support Certification: Possess current ARC or AHA BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Life Supports (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS). BLS/ACLS/ALS/PALS certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.* Security: Possess the ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
Pay Scale: W2 $105/hr to $115/hr or 1099 $155/hr to be determined based on employment options, qualifications, experience, and location
