We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a school district in St. Francis, Minnesota for the upcoming 20262027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to provide individualized nursing care to a medically fragile student while making a meaningful impact in a school setting.

Position Overview

The RN will primarily provide 1:1 nursing support for a medically fragile student throughout the school day, ensuring the student's health, safety, and access to education. When student needs allow, the nurse may also assist in the school's health office with general nursing duties and student care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile student
  • Monitor and address the student's medical needs throughout the school day
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
  • Respond to health-related concerns and emergencies as needed
  • Support implementation of health plans and physician orders
  • Assist in the school health office when appropriate
  • Promote a safe and healthy learning environment

Qualifications

  • Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

DSD Services teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita has to offer, and will work to quickly leverage these to develop the infrastructure and rapidly grow the new service line. Ideal teammates will have experience in dialysis, get energized by a start-up type environment and improving the lives of patients, and have a track record of finding ways to Get Stuff Done (GSD). Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources across the organization. What you can expect: In this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs will troubleshoot, and make sound decisions for our patients related to their dialysis treatment and will occasionally partner alongside the SNF staff to coordinate care. Primary work schedule will be 3-4 days a week with some travel to other SNF clinics within your region (depending on business and patient needs). Alternating Saturdays will also be required. The role includes supervising Dialysis Technician who are tasked with delivering tandem care to meet the capacity and efficiency goals of the program.
