Job Description

Cottage Clinical Network seeks an Advanced Practice Provider Lead Urgent Care for their CCN Cottage Urgent Care-Santa Maria-Skyway Drive department responsible for providing direct patient care to assigned patients within an urgent care setting. In addition to patient care, the APP Lead is a resource for site managers, educators, and the Urgent Care (UC) directors to help train to and reinforce workflows related to efficiency, UC policy and scope of practice, and customer service. Internal contacts include medical directors and management throughout the clinic and health system. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regularly occurring meetings to facilitate information dissemination and support team engagement, participating in the design and implementation APP practice quality/outcome indicators, facilitating consistent orientation processes and clinical practices across service lines, helping to lead annual competencies, participating in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Education:

  • Minimum:
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, as defined by the California Physician Assistant Board. Master’s degree or certificate from a specialized medical training program associated with a medical school that includes classroom students and clinical experience.
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Master of Nursing Degree. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Minimum:

Years of Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum: 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner OR a Physician Assistant in a family practice setting or related field.
  • Preferred: Urgent care experience.
