Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll take on a vital  role in the OR, guiding your team and ensuring patients receive the safest, most advanced surgical care. Working alongside a highly experienced, collaborative surgical team, you’ll bring order, precision, and confidence to the operating room. What you will do in this role:

  • Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure 
  • Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment 
  • Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices 
  • Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards 
  • Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (NRST) Nationally Registered Surgical Technician
  • 1 year experience Required
