Full-Time School Registered Nurse (RN) Elementary Health Room

Location: Bastrop, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | School Year Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join an elementary school team in Bastrop, Louisiana for the upcoming school year. This full-time position will provide health services and support to students while managing the daily operations of the school health room.

Position Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to elementary-aged students
Assess and manage student illnesses, injuries, and health concerns
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, allergies, and seizure disorders
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and healthcare providers to support student health and well-being
Conduct health screenings and assist with health education initiatives
Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations

Qualifications

Active Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
CPR/BLS certification
Previous pediatric, school nursing, or community health experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff and families
