Role Highlights:

  • Contract position running from July 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026
  • Part-time schedule, 20 hours per week
  • Multiple schedules available:
    • 4 daytime positions (8:30AM12:30PM)
    • 1 night school nurse opening (hours to be determined)
  • Five total openings for qualified candidates

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey school nurse license/certifications required
  • Demonstrated school-based nursing experience (clinical-only experience will not qualify)
  • Willingness to obtain fingerprint clearances for both agency and district requirements
  • Valid TB test and physical required
  • Must be able to begin promptly, due to ASAP need
  • Ready to work onsite and serve multiple school buildings across the district
  • Only fully credentialed candidates will be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to students and staff
  • Support daily healthcare needs, medication administration, and emergency response
  • Promote health education and wellness throughout school communities
  • Collaborate with school administrators and faculty for school-wide safety initiatives
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with families and staff
