Make a significant impact on student health and well-being in a dynamic school setting with a part-time contract nursing opportunity this summer. Were seeking experienced, credentialed school nurses to support K-12 students district-wide for the month of July. This role is perfect for those who have previous school-based nursing experience and are ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Choose from several flexible schedules: Four day-time positions run from 8:30AM to 12:30PM, and one opening is available for a night school nurse (hours to be determined). Youll provide comprehensive care, wellness screenings, and support throughout entire school buildingsall in-person and onsite in a collaborative educational setting.

What youll bring:

  • Active school nurse RN licensure/certification in New Jersey
  • Proven school-based nursing experience (clinical setting alone is not sufficient)
  • Availability to start July 1, 2026, and commit through July 31, 2026
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week on a part-time contract basis
  • District-wide flexibility and readiness to support multiple school communities
  • Completed or willingness to complete required fingerprinting (agency and district), TB screening, and physical
  • Preparedness for an in-person and/or virtual interview
  • Strong commitment to student safety, confidentiality, and health standards

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care, triage, and first aid within elementary and secondary schools
  • Perform health screenings, assessments, and coordinate referrals as needed
  • Support district health initiatives and ensure compliance with local health policies
  • Maintain accurate reporting and communication with staff and families
