This long-term contract opportunity invites compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) seeking to build strong connections and continuity in school nursing. The district plans for coverage through the end of December 2026, with an extension likely in the following school year. Summer session work is also anticipated, ensuring steady hours and the chance to grow your experience in educational settings.
In this role, you will deliver approximately 40 hours per week of specialized 1:1 nursing services, including support during transportation. By partnering closely with the student, you'll provide continuous medical care and develop a supportive, consistent environment while collaborating with educational staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts nursing certificate (LPN or RN required)
- School nursing experience or pediatric/1:1 experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable transportation and flexibility with schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care and monitor medical needs during school hours and transportation
- Follow established care plans and collaborate with students care team
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication per district and nursing standards
- Participate in meetings and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment
