A Brief Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on AWOHNN and NRP standards of care and professional nursing practice; accountable for the outcomes of nursing care delivered.

What you will do
  • Circulating with c-sections, recovering patients post c-section, and pre-oping c-section patients.
  • Ensure documentation is completed on patients.
  • Provide Medication Safety with BMV scanning, hand hygiene, patient identification, medication reconciliation, and patient medication education.
  • Participate in monthly review/unit progress meetings with Clinical Director

Education Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in nursing. (ADN) Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing. (BSN) Preferred
  • Master's Degree in nursing. (MSN) Preferred

Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of acute nursing experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Academy of Pediatrics If not certified, must obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of employment Required
