Key Qualifications:

Current and valid NY RN license is required
Experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or working with children with special needs is highly desirable
Knowledge of Type 1 diabetes management, including monitoring blood sugar and administering insulin
Comfortable supporting children with autism and adapting communication appropriately
Compassionate, attentive, and able to maintain clear professional boundaries (not a teaching role)
Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Your Role Will Include:

Providing consistent 1:1 medical support during the students daily schedule
Monitoring the students blood glucose and administering insulin as needed
Supporting safe diabetes management, including meal and snack times
Collaborating with educational staff to ensure an optimal learning environment
Maintaining accurate health records and communication with the family, school personnel, and healthcare team
Promoting a positive and reassuring atmosphere for the student

This full-time contract begins July 6, 2026, through August 14, 2026 (Monday-Friday, 8:15AM-11:30AM), and resumes with the school year September 8, 2026, through late June, 2027 (9:15AM-3:45PM). Youll be assigned to one school, providing consistent care for the same student as she progresses.
