Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN or LPN license in Illinois
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential welcomed
- Clear background check and current CPR certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and able to respond effectively in a dynamic school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, addressing daily health needs, injuries, and acute illnesses
- Manage care plans for students with chronic medical conditions and communicate proactively with school staff and families
- Administer medications and perform health screenings as required
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with school policies
- Serve as a healthcare resource and advocate for students, promoting wellness and healthy habits
- Respond to emergencies and manage first aid situations
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to create a safe, supportive school environment
