We are seeking a dynamic nursing director with deep hospice experience and a proven track record of leading operational oversight (including quality, compliance, regulatory standards and financial management), driving accountability and facilitating complex interdisciplinary collaboration. This role's purview includes four facilities across Oklahoma City, OK, St. Louis, MO, and Mt. Vernon, IL.

Pay Range:

Responsible for the operations of multiple hospice and palliative care entities, including financial performance, quality improvement, customer satisfaction, employee recruitment and retention, growth, and development of new business lines. Provide strategic and business planning support for supervisors and branch managers within a service area.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides input on completion of annual budget for hospice and palliative care programs based on strategic and marketing plans that are completed at the entity level. Ensures data collection is occurring throughout the year about competitive organization’s strategies within each of the region’s marketplaces. Coordinates, develops and implements the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program (QAPI) activities and reports quality measurements to the Board of Directors annually. Assists in the identification of goals and related patient outcomes, and overall development and implementation of the QAPI program.
- Understands the importance of communication with all levels of the organization, community and customers. Create and implement a communication plan which meets the needs of staff, senior management, customers and the community within the entity’s service area.
- Promotes and maintains an atmosphere of customer service. Provides opportunities for staff to receive continuing education about customer service and interacting with difficult people. Ensures that a customer/patient satisfaction system with feedback and action components is in place. Follow up and resolve customer complaints as needed.
- Implement benchmarks and performance criteria for the individual entities within a service area. Provide senior management with accurate performance information. Assist managers/supervisors with ideas and implementation of intervention strategies or other tactics to enhance financial performance and grow the business.
- Provides a personal example of living the principles of continuous quality improvement whereby decision-making is driven by data, and customer-supplier relationships are facilitated both within and outside the System.
- Maintain a low HR turnover rate by insuring that hospice and palliative care programs create an atmosphere where employees enjoy working and perceive a fair and equitable management style with open communication. Develop and sustain staffing models for palliative care programs.
- Makes effective use of the resources within the region for new program development, systems improvement, best practice development and promotion.
- Support and implement an organization-wide sales and marketing mentality. Support the efforts and role of sales and marketing staff. Develop and give presentations as needed.
- Provides opportunities to hospice and palliative care managers for career development, ongoing education and training.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Master’s degree
Experience
- Eight years’ management experience with three years in post-acute service area
Required Professional License and/or Certifications
