The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading clinical operations within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong clinical leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, committed to delivering high-quality resident care and ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role plays a key part in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations across all units.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations of the nursing department
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
  • Support implementation and enforcement of clinical policies and procedures
  • Monitor resident care delivery to ensure high standards of quality and safety
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workflow management to ensure adequate coverage
  • Participate in care plan meetings, clinical audits, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support survey preparedness and assist during regulatory inspections
  • Address clinical concerns and assist with performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
  • Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and nursing practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
