The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a vital part of Arbour Hospital’s multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced practice nursing support for psychiatric patients
Participates in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to identifying patient treatment needs
Complete medication assessments and adjustments
Prescribe medication for patients under the supervision of a psychiatrist
Provide social support as needed
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources
