Your Role as a Registered Nurse (RN):

Responsibilities:

In this vital role as a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the delivery of effective, high-quality nursing care
  • Collaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans
  • Implementing care plans with a resident-centered focus
  • Utilizing available resources for counseling and discharge planning
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans based on changing needs

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role as a Registered Nurse (RN), you should meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a valid unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Current CPR certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Preferred: experience in pain management and IV skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Skilled Nursing with Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Supervisor experience

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the functions, activities, and training of the nursing services staff, in addition to the supervision of the Therapy Department and its’ functions within the facility. POSITION SUMMARY: The Wound Care Coordinator reports to and receives general direction from the Director of Nursing and is responsible for delivering quality wound care and preventative measures to maintain skin integrity to assigned residents in compliance with applicable federal and state guidelines and established policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Utilizes the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents wound and skin integrity • Collecting and documentation of residents’ skin status including medical history. • Wound care prevention and prevention through plan of care • Sets priorities for nursing action for wound care and prevention • Communicates with physicians regarding resident wound needs • Initiates nutritional interventions to ensure that residents with wounds are provided nutrition to promote wound healing. • Performs direct resident care utilizing established procedure, policies, and standards • Administer treatments and procedures in accordance with the physician’s orders • Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each residents while performing treatments • Communicates and interacts effectively, courteously, and tactfully with residents, visitors, family members, peers, and supervisors • Conducts rounds frequently to ensure that residents with incontinence are receiving pericare and preventative ointments timely.
