This position performs duties associated with direct patient care and quality assurance activities. Assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, instructs patients concerning procedures, treatments and needs, and ensures medical orders are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. This position performs duties associated with symptom management, and direct in clinic patient care and/or telehealth patient care and quality improvement activities. The nurse adheres to the ANA scope and Standards of professional nursing and the code of ethics for nurses with interpretive statements.

Our Urgent Care team is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to deliver highquality patient care in a fastpaced, highvolume environment. The RN functions under the direction of the onsite provider, performing rapid patient triage, clinical assessments, and supporting procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient flow. This position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Schedule:

PRN = Three 12hour shifts (Days) in a 6 week period. 

Urgent Care operates 365 days a year

Weekends and holidays required

Travel to other Urgent Care clinics across the state may be discussed

Qualifications: 

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. 
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • 2 Years Experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred.
  • 1 Year of Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Triage Required.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
