Northwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit on full-time day shifts. This position is ideal for an experienced LPN who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Summary

The LPN II provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or provider. This role requires advanced clinical skills, strong critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple patient needs in a medical-surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies (within scope of practice)
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and report changes promptly
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education
Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining dignity and respect

Qualifications

Current Florida LPN license (active and in good standing)
Current BLS certification (required)
IV certification (preferred or required based on facility policy)
Previous medical-surgical or hospital experience preferred
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
