Registered Nurse School Setting - Aurora, IL

Key Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Prior school nursing experience required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Able to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
Must provide credentials and a current resume upon application
No LPNs for this role

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct professional nursing services, emergency care, and first aid for students and staff in line with legal and district standards
Administer medications safely and accurately, maintaining all related documentation and secure storage
Support the Certified School Nurse in running student and staff wellness initiatives and special district projects, such as managing action plans for allergies, asthma, or seizures
Regularly check building AEDs and coordinate with health services for any maintenance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records to comply with Illinois school health regulations
Serve as a mandated reporter, making assessments and referrals for suspected abuse or neglect as necessary
