Registered Nurse School Setting - Dekalb, IL

Working full-time hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a healthy, responsive environment for a diverse K-12 population.

Candidates must hold an active RN license and ideally possess experience providing nursing care in school settings. As the primary health resource in your assigned schools, you'll monitor chronic and immediate health concerns, conduct vision and hearing screenings, and support comprehensive evaluations tied to IEP/504 Plans. Outstanding communication skills are essential, as you'll collaborate with staff, students, and families to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Accurate record-keeping is a must, along with the ability to manage health logs and fulfill reporting requirements to both the district and ISBE. Your input will directly affect educational access and student success.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid RN license, with credentials in school nursing or pediatric care welcome.
• Experience supporting students with a range of disabilities and special healthcare needs.
• Knowledge of IEP/504 Plan processes in an educational context.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining records and complying with district/state policies.
• Effective communicator, able to relate to children, parents, and school professionals alike.
