Key Qualifications:

Active and unencumbered RN license
Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting is highly preferred
Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring individual healthcare plans
Confident in handling emergency care, administering medications, and responding to a range of medical situations
Able to build trusting relationships with students, families, and educators
Excellent documentation and communication abilities
Ability to provide care during bus transportation as needed

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, 1:1 nursing care to a student with complex medical needs during the school day and possibly while in transit to/from school
Administer necessary medications, treatments, and interventions according to individualized care plans
Monitor, document, and report changes in the students health status
Collaborate closely with educational teams, therapists, and families
Educate staff members regarding the childs healthcare needs and emergency procedures
Ensure a safe, comfortable, and inclusive school environment for your assigned student
