An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled nurse ready to make a difference in a young child's educational experience. Support a preschool student as a 1:1 provider, ensuring their health and wellbeing on the bus and within the classroom. This position follows the traditional school calendar, making it ideal for those who value a consistent schedule and impactful work.

Essential functions for this role include PRN suctioning, tube feeding, seizure management, and riding the school bus with the student. You’ll begin and end each day meeting the student at their home and accompanying them safely throughout their school routine. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with resources on hand to help you excel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Active state licensure as an LPN or RN (state credentials required)
  • Comfortable and experienced with vents, g-tubes, and trachs
  • Proven ability to provide 1:1 nursing care for students with complex medical needs
  • Capability to handle PRN suctioning, tube feeding, and seizure monitoring
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based nursing strongly preferred
  • Must include one completed medical supervisor reference upon application

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely meet, accompany, and supervise the student to and from school
  • Deliver medical supports in alignment with the student’s IEP and care needs
  • Communicate clearly with school staff and parents as needed
  • Ensure a secure, nurturing, and responsive environment at all times
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time

The assignment runs tentatively from late August through mid-June, closely following the academic calendar with approximately 37.5 hours per week. You’ll be making a lasting difference in a child’s life while developing valuable skills in pediatric and educational nursing.
