Job Description:

  • Certified Nurse Midwife provides full spectrum women's health care in a clinic setting including prenatal care, post-partum visits, family planning and office gynecology services
  • Clinic time split between Owatonna and Faribault Women's Health clinics
  • Midwifery collaborative support is provided by a supportive OB/Gyn and collaborative primary care physicians
  • Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing

  • Formal education as Nurse practitioner

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
  • Certified Nurse Midwife - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire

Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:

  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
  • Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Certified Nurse Midwife experience
  • Master's degree In nursing or related field

Pay Range

Pay Range: $130,000 to $145,000 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).

Overview The Nurse Midwife (CNM) will work under the general supervision of their Medical Director, all physician partners, and their APP Manager, in WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver competent midwifery care to patients at WakeMed.
