School Registered Nurse | Malden, Massachusetts

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to serve as a full-time floater nurse supporting K-12 students for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the chance to work across several campuses, all located within a short distance of each other, ensuring variety and engagement in your daily work. The schedule is set from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek, starting August 17, 2026, and concluding June 18, 2027.

As a vital member of the health services team, youll step into diverse roles at different sites, providing essential care and coverage where its needed most. Your work will impact student wellness, safety, and readiness to learn.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license
  • Previous school-based nursing experience is required
  • Comfortable commuting between campuses (all campuses within a 6-mile radius)
  • Reliable transportation is necessary; punctuality is essential
  • Experience working with K-12 populations preferred
  • Capable of completing the CORI and fingerprinting process
  • Able to work the outlined schedule without accommodations
  • Willingness to take part in a Zoom interview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing services and health education to students from kindergarten through grade 12
  • Step in as a floater nurse, covering absences, illnesses, or special needs at various locations
  • Assess, plan, and administer medical care according to individual student health plans
  • Respond to student emergencies and manage medication administration
  • Collaborate with school teams, families, and community healthcare providers
