Deliver specialized care and make a lasting difference by supporting a young student in a dynamic school environment. This short-term contract offers the opportunity to apply your pediatric nursing expertise in a rewarding, structured setting. Work closely with school staff to ensure safety, health, and meaningful participation for a 3-year-old child navigating Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with current standing
  • Demonstrated experience in pediatric settings, preferably school nursing
  • Proficient in managing NG-tubes (not G-tube)
  • Skilled in lifting and safely transporting non-ambulatory children; ability to assist with a 24lb child
  • Capable of providing attentive care both during school hours and bus transport
  • Compassionate, organized, and adaptable in a school setting
  • Available for the entire assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one nursing care to a preschool student with INAD
  • Manage all aspects of NG-tube feedings and medication administration
  • Safely assist and lift the student during transfers and daily routines
  • Accompany and support the child during busing to ensure continuous care
  • Monitor and respond to the students complex health needs throughout the day
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and school health staff to maintain a safe environment
  • Provide clear documentation and communication with the school team and guardians
