Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting a young student in a dynamic school environment. Were seeking a skilled Registered Nurse ready to make a positive impact in a dedicated educational community just near South Amboy, NJ. This onsite position spans June 1st through June 26th, 2026, and offers approximately 35 hours per week (MondayFriday, 8am3pm).

Youll be working with a 3-year-old child diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD), who is non-ambulatory and requires specialized care, including NG-tube feeding (not a G-tube). Your expertise will be crucial in providing safe, compassionate, and attentive healthcare, both within the school and during bussing.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current RN license valid in New Jersey
Proven experience in pediatric nursing, particularly with medically fragile children
Prior involvement in a school setting highly preferred
Comfortable with NG-tube care (no G-tube involved)
Ability to safely lift and transport a student weighing approximately 24 lbs
Clear communication skills and adaptability in a school environment
CPR and First Aid certified

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized nursing care to a preschool-aged student during school hours and on the school bus
Oversee NG-tube feedings and medication as prescribed
Monitor overall health status, respond effectively to emergencies, and document interventions
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and the students family to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant health and safety standards
