Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center and Chest Pain/Stroke Center, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compassion.

Position Highlights:

  • Partner with unit Managers to develop action plans in areas including quality and safety improvements, care affordability and great patient and team member experiences
  • Play a vital role on the Emergency Department leadership team, shaping the long-term vision and operational excellence.
  • Support and foster a “Kinder” culture that values teamwork, respect, and compassionate care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient experience, clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies, and staff engagement.
  • Lead quality and safety improvement initiatives, develop action plans, and analyze outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide clinical and operational guidance, inspiring excellence across the department.

 

Schedule & Flexibility:

  • Full time, 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance.
  • Requirement to round on off-shift hours.
  • Evening and weekend availability for rotational call to ensure 24/7 coverage and support.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required. 
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.   
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.   
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.  
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Emergency Department experience preferred. 
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.

Perform routine charting duties as required & in accordance with established charting & documentation policies & procedures. · Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician. · Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift. Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours. Make rounds with physicians as necessary. · Administer professional services such as: catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, taking blood, giving massages and range of motion exercises, etc., as required. · Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies. · Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information. Ensure that all nursing care is provided in privacy and that nursing service personnel knock before entering the resident’s room. · Provide IV & IV site care as needed. · Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
