Salary: $180,000 – $200,000

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. The DON will oversee the nursing department, ensuring delivery of high-quality care, staff management, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to excellence. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and has a passion for mentoring clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the nursing department to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.

  • Hire, train, and retain qualified nursing staff in accordance with staffing guidelines.

  • Maintain clinical policies and procedures that align with corporate and DOH standards.

  • Oversee staff competencies, performance evaluations, and continuing education.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal patient outcomes.

  • Handle grievances, promote resident rights, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

  • Monitor and manage the department’s budget and resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in New York, free of encumbrances.

  • RN degree from an accredited nursing program.

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.

  • Knowledge of DOH regulations, CMS standards, infection control, risk management, and QA/QI initiatives.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
