Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a vital part of Arbour Hospital’s multidisciplinary treatment team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced practice nursing support for psychiatric patients
  • Participates in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to identifying patient treatment needs
  • Complete medication assessments and adjustments
  • Prescribe medication for patients under the supervision of a psychiatrist
  • Provide social support as needed
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Current MA state license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • 2-3 years of experience working in community health preferred
  • CPR certification

What You’ll Do: The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment services to individuals receiving outpatient behavioral health services.
