We are actively hiring a Medical Assistant at our Valkyrie, Murrieta site.

Shift: Monday- Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Location: On site
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $25.00-$27.00/hr, depending on experience


Responsibilities

  • Execute protocol-specified patient visits and clinical procedures, which may include, but not limited to, vital signs, EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, injections, specimen collection, and assisting providers with exams and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient flow and room patients while preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas.
  • Document patient communication, clinical assessments, and treatments accurately within the EMR.
  • Collect, process, and properly store laboratory specimens according to protocol and clinic procedures.
  • Administer medications and immunizations as directed and supervised by the physician or RN.
  • Assist in scheduling and conducting patient visits while ensuring adherence to protocol timelines and clinic workflows.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure availability of clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Receive, organize, scan, and appropriately file clinical documentation within the EMR.
  • Maintain communication with physicians, clinic leadership, research staff, and other members of the care team.
  • Protect confidentiality per HIPAA and all confidentiality agreements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
  • Represent Flourish professionally in all interactions.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • CPT1 preferred
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience providing medical support in a clinical setting
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Clinical skills highly preferred: vital signs, EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, injections, and specimen processing
  • Familiar with EMR documentation and clinical workflows
  • Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to emergency situations
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and research teams
  • An ethical compass that compels the candidate to be honest, detail-oriented, and self-driven
  • High-level critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory collection, processing, and storage procedures
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite

Rooms patients, prepares and maintains examination and treatment area before, during and after each patient activity. Obtains vital signs and input them into EMR.
