We’re seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to support a new Outpatient Oncology Program. This RN will coordinate care from diagnosis through treatment while providing education and compassionate support to patients and their families.

Position Highlights:

Coordinate oncology care throughout the patient journey
Educate and support patients and families
Collaborate with providers, pharmacy, infusion staff, and ancillary departments
Assist with occasional chemotherapy infusions as needed
Help support and grow a new outpatient oncology program

Requirements:

Current Oregon RN license or ability to obtain before starting
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Current ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification
Previous oncology navigation or care-coordination experience
Oncology infusion experience
EPIC Beacon experience preferred
Strong communication, education, and care-coordination skills

What does the Travel Float Registered Nurse (RN) do? The Float Pool RN provides professional nursing care in alignment with national standards, company guidelines, and the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. You’ll serve as a clinical resource and liaison while adapting quickly to diverse assignments. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities: Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care. Conducting health assessments, obtaining patient histories, and providing education. Offering psychosocial support to patients and families. Safely preparing and administering therapies (medications, blood products) in accordance with governing standards. Performing venipuncture, accessing ports, and maintaining central lines. Monitoring labs, facilitating dose modifications per protocol, and consulting with providers for orders.
