Requirements:

Acts as a resource for the Access Department to facilitate patient placement according to diagnosis and infection control standards. Coordinates morgue activities, including interactions with families, physicians, funeral directors, police, district attorney’s office and coroner’s office to facilitate the identification and timely release of deceased persons from morgue on designated shift. Responds to Code 99 calls, trauma alerts, and other internal emergent situations, coordinates activities, reassigns staff and provides supplemental staff as necessary. Communicates educational needs of nursing personnel on designated shift to appropriate Nurse Manager/Director. Maintains clinical skills and functions as a resource person for nursing department on designated shift.
