Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as a Unit Manager.

What You'll Do
As a Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for the clinical and operational success of your assigned nursing unit by:
Supervising the daily operations of your nursing unit to ensure quality resident care.
Leading, mentoring, and supporting RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
Monitoring resident conditions and collaborating with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Coordinating admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity of care.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.
Reviewing clinical documentation, physician orders, medication administration, and treatment records for accuracy and compliance.
Participating in care planning, quality assurance initiatives, MDS processes, and regulatory surveys.
Conducting daily rounds to ensure exceptional resident care and customer service.
Coaching, developing, and evaluating nursing staff while promoting accountability and teamwork.
Assisting with staffing, scheduling, employee education, and orientation.
Promoting infection prevention, workplace safety, and resident rights.
Serving as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team.

Qualifications
Current North Carolina RN or LPN license in good standing
Minimum one (1) year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Ability to lead a team while maintaining exceptional resident-centered care
