American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a PA or compact RN license. Job details: - 13-week travel contract in a community hospital Labor & Delivery unit - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Every other weekend (EOW) required - On-call is required - Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis - Floating required on an as-needed basis - Patient ratio of 1:4 - Low-risk L&D setting with fewer than 100 facility births per month - Work settings include Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Level I Nursery - Epic EMR experience required - May care for COVID-positive patients Requirements: - Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no license encumbrances accepted - Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required - Travel nursing experience required - Community hospital experience required - Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP — all must be AHA or ARC issued - Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced - Epic EMR experience required - Prior charge nurse experience preferred - Proficiency with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line maintenance (CVC/PICC), infusion pumps, and cardiac monitoring - Experience with external fetal monitoring (EFM), IUPC placement and calibration, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns - Experience managing high-acuity OB conditions including pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa/abruption, postpartum hemorrhage, and uterine rupture - Experience with neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and newborn care including hypoglycemia management and phototherapy - Ability to assist with vaginal deliveries, circulate for C-sections, and recover C-section patients - Experience with antepartum procedures including NST, OCT, sterile vaginal exams, and obstetrical triage Additional information: - Candidates are subject to a clinical review to assess fit prior to manager consideration — clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis, and a manager interview is required - Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered a lower pay rate - Requested time off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the contract - Travel pairs are welcome; however, matched schedules cannot be guaranteed - Pre-start orientation modules are required and typically take 5–6 hours to complete - This is a tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility

Every third weekend and rotating holidays. 6 Fred is a A 20-bed unit Heart Failure Cardiac Telemetry unit specializing in the care of patients who have new onset and/or chronic heart failure. Heart failure is a chronic disease, which results in patients frequently being hospitalized many times throughout their lives. Many heart failure patients have other chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory problems, and obesity. Summary: Assume responsibility and accountability as defined by the American Nurses Association standards of nursing practice. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague is an RN that practices as a full partner on the health care team and consistently demonstrates safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague possesses the knowledge, skills and the attitude to effectively meet standards for competent professional nursing practice. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague exhibits Penn Medicine’s experience standards which reflect its mission and are embedded in the professional practice competency domains. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague demonstrates within the competency domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology Informatics, and Teamwork. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. The nurse focuses on expanding the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-appropriate considerations of assigned patients. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague seeks feedback in assuming leadership roles and provides feedback for improved clinical practice. The nurse demonstrates how nursing practice impacts the organizational vision, mission, and goals and the care delivery system. The nurse complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies. Performs patient assessments, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive functions. Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes and adapts the plan of care based on recognized trends and changes. Collects and manages comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues. Formulates age-appropriate and culturally and ethically sensitive plan of care Implements care in a knowledgeable manner and coordinates patient care across several disciplines and among caregivers. Provides leadership to other members of the team by effectively communicating expected standards of care and encouraging and supporting team members and their contributions. Demonstrates an understanding of and a commitment to our values of privacy, quality, respect, service and teamwork. Assigns, delegates, and supervises other employees and intervenes as appropriate to assure that the plan of care is carried out, continuity of care is provided and that established outcomes are achieved through availability and appropriated utilization of human, material and financial resources. Educates patients about healthy practices and treatment modalities. Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices. Utilizes technology where appropriate. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications: RN licensure is required, issued by the PA Board of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN or higher level nursing degree is required. Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice. CPR Certification - American Heart Association AHA Basic Life Support, formerly Healthcare Provider AHA Heart Saver courses for CPR are not accepted required within 30 days of hire.
