Wound Care Nurse

Job Details

  • Assess wounds; determine wound care needs and frequency with wound care physician.
  • Assist with providing direct patient care for wound care clients
  • Teach and educate clients, families and coordinate care with other nurses
  • Perform wound VAC dressing changes
  • Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct our infection prevention and control program
  • Participate in the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to ensure that an effective infection prevention program is follwed

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN License in the state of Florida
  • Wound care certification and/or 1 year wound care experience
  • CPR certified
  • Experience with wound VAC dressing changes
  • Must possess a working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique to include standard/transmission-based precautions.
  • APIC Certification in infection prevention and control preferred, but not necessary.
