Registered Nurse, Float Pool

Overview The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual. Demonstrates accountability for on-going awareness of the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition. Qualifications Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification. Current ACLS. Dysrhythmia certification. Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.

Case Manager RN

Overview The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services. Answers, directs and records departmental phone calls from a variety of sources (Insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment, other health care providers, etc.) understanding priorities for the delivery of quality patient care. Coordinates with Discharge Planners for continuum of patient care, for example, durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care. Responsibilities The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services. Must be able to type a minimum of 45-55 wpm. Fluent in medical terminology. Must have strong communication and written grammatical skills. Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification.

Responsibilities The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual. Demonstrates accountability for on-going awareness of the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition. Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in Labor & Delivery. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are required. NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Outpatient

ASC Registered Nurse

Overview The Ambulatory Surgery Center RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Applies appropriate theory as a basis for decisions regarding nursing practice. Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admissions and shift assessment within (2) hours of coming on duty. Communicates appropriate data to the physician and other patient care team members. Collaborates with other discipline to plan and coordinate care. Qualifications Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) and ACLS certification. Two years of acute care experience preferred.
