Per Diem range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour

- **Schedule:** Per Diem Day shifts 7:00A-5:00P.
- Working collaboratively with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams, the APN provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.
- This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across the continuum, from pre-procedural evaluation through post-procedural follow-up.
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty, role modeling application of clinical practice standards.
- Identifies clinical problems in care of specialty and proposes solutions and/or a plan to address the issue.
- Utilizes assessment techniques based on current research and knowledge.
- Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning.
- Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory.
- Selects and performs tests and therapeutic procedures for the patient as necessary, adhering to scope of practice guidelines and program area's curriculum.
- Develops collaborative protocols with physicians as defined by the Nurse Practice Act.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent clinical and communication skills.
**Advanced Practice Nurse**
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- National Board certification is required
- Current NJ Professional Nurse License
- Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
- 3-5 years recent clinical experience in area of expertise
- DEA and NJ CDS registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
