The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Staff Staff Educator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading clinical education, staff training, onboarding, competency programs, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continued staff growth within our skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee orientation and onboarding programs for nursing staff
  • Develop and conduct educational programs, in-services, and competency training
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility training requirements
  • Monitor and maintain staff education records and certifications
  • Provide ongoing clinical support and guidance to nursing staff
  • Assist with infection control education and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support survey preparedness and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Identify educational needs and implement training programs accordingly
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to improve clinical performance and resident outcomes
  • Conduct skills evaluations and competency assessments
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required
  • Previous experience in staff education, staff development, or nursing leadership preferred
  • Skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to mentor, educate, and motivate staff effectively
  • Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented approach
